What We Do
One of the ways we keep the farm a viable business is by doing custom tractor work. This includes mowing, discing, and tilling of pastures and gardens. It also include the delivery and spreading of rock, gravel, mulch and wood chips just about anywhere the tractor and dump trailer can make it.
If you happen to have come here looking for tractor services, and not via our social media, here is how the billing breaks down.
**Winter Only Service**
Snow drift cleanup and snow plowing services. Unlike many of the trucks you see running around all winter, we specialize in the removal of deep snow drifting. The Moxee and East Valley areas saw drifting several feet deep in some places in recent years. Let us help you maintain safe access to your home. We bill by the hour for this service.
Mowing, discing, tilling, etc. is billed by the hour. My hourly rate is the best I have seen in our area. I charge for a full first hour, then after that I bill by the half hour on most jobs. I do charge mileage on some jobs depending on the location and the size of the job. However even charging mileage I am still $20 or more per hour less than other providers which quickly offsets the mileage cost in the first hour.
Material delivery is a flat fee depending on location. We live near the largest bulk product supplier in our area, so I'm able to keep the delivery cost down.
We also offer a yard waste and debris haul away service. This service consists of us dropping off a dump trailer, then you load it at your leisure. Once the trailer is loaded we come back and haul it away. The rate for this service depends on location and if you are loading either lawn waste only (sticks, leaves, grass, plants, etc.) or if your load is mixed lawn waste and debris (for example fall cleanup that was placed in plastic bags, construction materials, old household goods, etc.)
